Vița de vie Traminer Roz

Features:

Breed originated in the Italian Tyrol, and its name probably comes from the Tramino town located in this area. It is found on extensive surfaces in Bavaria - Germany, where some ampelographers believe it is original.

The relatively short period of vegetation (160-170 days), during which it requires 26.5-36ºC global temperature. It has medium force, but vegetative growth is small. Good fertility, about 70% fertile sprouts, with 2 inflorescences on the sprout, but the productivity of the variety is low because of the size of the grapes.

Biological Resistances: Has good tolerance to frost (-20 -22ºC), sensitive to drought and manna, medium resistant to mildew, gray rot and grape moths.

The grape broth takes place early in the first days of August, and full maturation occurs in 2-3 weeks after the Chasselas Dore (4th age).

Vița de vie Feteasca Regala

Features:

This variety is the result of natural hybridization between White Maiden x Fat Lady of Cotnari. It was multiplied after 1920, expanded across the country, where it now occupies large areas.

The Royal Maiden variety has a medium vegetation period (160-170 days), which requires a global temperature of 25-32ºC. It has medium power of growth and high fertility, 80-85% of fertile quills. It recovers slightly from climatic accidents. Full maturation takes place 3-4 weeks after the Chasselas Dore (4th-5th age).

Biological resistances: variety with medium resistance to frost (-20, -22ºC), but sensitive to drought; as a result, its crop should be avoided in dry and sandy areas. It has medium resistance to mane and flaking, sensitive to the gray rot of grapes.

Vița de vie Muscat Ottonel

Features:

This variety was obtained in France in 1852 from a mixture of seeds from free fecundations. After the latest research, it seems to be the result of the hybridization between Muscat de Saumur x Chasselas Dore.

Variety with medium vegetation time (165-175 days) and low thermal requirements, requiring 25-29ºC active heat balance. Medium growth vigor and very high fertility, over 85% of fertile sprouts, often with 2 floors of inflorescences. It very well matures the wood of the shells, differentiates the fruit buds from the base of the string.

Unpacking in the second part of April, the grape harvest takes place in early August, and the ripening takes place 1-2 weeks from the Chasselas Dore (4th-age). Autumn leaves turn yellow early, indicating the precocity of the variety.

Biological resistances: variety with good tolerance to frost (-20 -22ºC), less resistant to drought, sensitive to manna and mildew, medium resistant to gray rot, sensitive to the attack of grape moths, especially in the south of the country, in dry areas. In recent years, the Muscat Ottonel variety has been shown to be sensitive to the acid rot of the inflorescences, manifested by the browning of some parts of the inflorescences after binding the grains, the disease being caused by botrytis of the genus Botrytis, vectored by nematodes.

The variety is cultivated on large areas in France, the Bordeaux wine-growing region, the Sauternes vineyard, for the production of sweet wines; where it seems to have its origin.

Variety with medium vegetation (165-175 days), requiring 26-34ºC active temperature. Medium strength of growth and good fertility, 60-70% fertile quills. The grape harvest takes place in early August, and full maturation takes place 2-3 weeks later than Chasselas Dore (4th age Petit Sauvignon) and about a week later than Gros Sauvignon (5th epoch).

Biological Resistances: In terms of resistance to frost, there were differences between the two forms, Petit Sauvignon (-20, -22C), and somewhat more sensitive Gros Sauvignon (-18, -20ºC). Has medium drought and flaking resistance, manna, gray rot and grape moths sensitive.

It is a cosmopolitan variety, it favors south or south-western, well-sunny slopes that provide conditions for grapes' overmaturement.

Technologically, it is a high-quality variety. It accumulates large amounts of sugars from 195 to 220 g / l, the total acidity of the stum being balanced by 4.5 - 5.5 g / l of H2SO4, which allows its cultivation in more dry areas (eg Murfatlar).

The wines obtained have a fine, characteristic flavor. In order to obtain semi-sweet and sweet wines it is necessary to add and gratify the grapes, the harvest losses being of 8 - 17%, but compensated by the quality of the obtained wines.
